The MOLLE II Assault Pack can be carried alone or attached to the MOLLE backpack (not included). The assault pack consists of a large main pocket, a zippered front cargo pocket, and a small utility pocket with Velcro closure for smaller items. Metal drainage eyelets in all zippered compartments. Also has a slot for a radio antenna or drinking tube. This attack package is approved for flight operations. Manufactured by U.S. government contractors for the military.
The MOLLE II Assault Pack has an approximate internal volume of 1525 cubic inches in the main compartment and 825 cubic inches in the large front pocket, which is specifically sized to accommodate a detachable six-magazine bandoleer or a standard protective mask and allow quick and easy access to it, It is capable of supporting a load of at least 60 pounds, including the current family of field radios, including SINCGARS and ASIP. The radio can be carried in a radio pouch attached to the back of the backpack using the 1-inch oval loops.
