The Cisco Unified IP Phone 7975G showcases the latest advances in VoIP telephony with wideband audio support, a backlit color touchscreen display, and an integrated Gigabit Ethernet port. This IP phone features a large, backlit, easy-to-read color display for easy access to communications data, time-saving applications, and features such as the date and time, caller name, caller ID, dialed digits, and presence information.

The phone offers direct access to eight phone lines (or combinations of lines, speed dials, and direct access to telephony functions) and five interactive soft keys that you can assign call features and functions to. The intuitive four-way navigation key (plus the Select key) makes all settings easy to configure and menu navigation a breeze. A speakerphone and an integrated headset jack are standard features.

Directories Key

Provides access to missed, received, or placed calls (plus intercom history and directories). Incoming messages are recognized and categorized on the display, allowing the user to quickly and effectively make calls using the direct dial-back function.

Settings Key

Allows the user to adjust the display brightness, select wallpapers (if available), and set the ringtone. Configuration can be performed either automatically or manually for Dynamic Host Control Protocol (DHCP), Trivial File Transfer Protocol (TFTP), Cisco Unified Communications Manager, and backup Cisco Unified Communications Manager instances. Other settings available in the submenu include Device Configuration, Security Configuration, and Model Information.

Ethernet Switch

Cisco's internal 2-port Ethernet switch enables direct connection to a 10/100/1000 BASE-T Ethernet network via an RJ-45 interface, providing single LAN connectivity for the phone or a localized PC. The system administrator can assign separate VLANs (802.1Q) for the PC and phone for enhanced security and reliability of voice and data traffic.

Headset connection

The headset connection eliminates the need for a separate headphone amplifier and the handset can remain in the cradle.

Volume Control

Offers easy decibel level adjustments for the speakerphone, handset, headset, and ringer. The handset is hearing aid compatible.

Adjustable foot stand

The stand is adjustable from flat to 60 degrees to provide optimal viewing of the display and convenient operation of all buttons and knobs. The foot stand is keyed to conform to standard wall jack configurations for wall mounting. Optional wall mounts are also available.

Expansion Module Support

An optional add-on module, the Cisco Unified IP Phone Expansion Module 7914, provides 14 additional keys for programming phone numbers or speed dial numbers. Up to two expansion modules can be used.

Multiple ringtones

More than 24 custom ringtones are available. Ringtones can also be personalized using the Cisco Unified Phone Application Suite.
