  • Comprehensive online help system that displays information on the phone screen

To avoid misunderstandings between the Terms line and call To avoid this, see the following descriptions:

Lines: Each line corresponds to a phone number or a remote station through which others can call you. Cisco Unified 7965G Depending on the configuration, the IP phone supports one to six lines. The phone lines are located on the right side of the phone display. They have as many rows as there are phone numbers and phone line icons.

Calls: Each line supports multiple calls. By default, your phone supports four connected calls per line, but your system administrator can adjust this number as needed. Only one call can be active at a time; the remaining calls are automatically placed on hold.

SIP and SCCP compatible

You can configure your phone to use one of two signaling protocols: SIP (Login Protocol) or SCCP (Skinny Call Control Protocol). Your system administrator determines the configuration.
Phone features may vary depending on the protocol. To find out which protocol your phone uses, you can ask your system administrator or check the phone's menu.

Illuminated function keys

Six illuminated function keys (three status colors: green, yellow, and red) can be assigned to individual lines. Each function key provides a busy indicator when shared with another IP phone. Illuminated line keys are also used to access services, call lists, etc.

Ethernet switch

The phone provides 10/100/1000 BASE-T Ethernet connectivity via two RJ-45 ports: one for LAN connection and one for connecting an Ethernet device, such as a PC.

Full-duplex hands-free system

A full-duplex hands-free system allows the operator to make calls without using the receiver or headset

fuselage connection

A dedicated headphone jack eliminates the need for a separate amplifier when using the headphones and allows you to leave the receiver hanging for easier use. Additionally, the phone features a direct button for hanging up and answering calls.
